Veterinary Today Winter 2016

Issue Highlights

A busy autumn edition of Northern Ireland Veterinary Today is out now, capturing what’s been an unusually busy few months for the profession locally.
Our photographer has been out and about to events all over the north of Ireland, including product launches, CPD sessions and the AVSPNI Small Animal Congress in Co. Cavan. You can see the results in this latest edition of the magazine.
We’ve also been to the Belmont Road in Belfast to view the stunning results of the latest, large-scale refurbishments at the Earlswood Veterinary Hospital. More than £300,000 has just been spent to extend and enhance the facilities at this specialist practice.
And, as we always do around this time of year, we’ve been asking key spokespeople from the sector locally to reflect on events in 2016. We have end-of-year messages from the NIVA, the AVSPNI, VetNI and others, all of whom have been assessing progress in the year just gone.
The Kennel Club’s Aimee Llewellyn-Zaidi has also written or us. She spoke recently to a joint evening meeting of NIVA/AVSPNI members and she’s been telling NIVT a lot more about the role that vets can play when it comes to helping dog breeders meet the demands of their clients.
This and plenty more is all to be found in the latest edition of NI Veterinary Today.
